Duncan Scott, General Manager
Duncan held various general management positions within the New Zealand public health system for over 17 years before starting with Palmerston North X-Ray in 1998. He has a Bachelor of Social Sciences from Waikato University and a Master of Business Studies and a Diploma of Health Management from Massey University, and is an Associate Fellow of the Australasian College of Health Executives.
His role of General Manager is a challenging but exciting one. The continuous advancement of medical technology and Health Management practices means it is constantly changing, requiring the implementation of new initiatives and clinical practices.
Jenny Farmer, Charge MRT
Jenny qualified as a Medical Radiation Technologist in 1968 and two years later became the Charge Radiographer for Drs Urquhart and Moore’s private practice. Since that time Jenny has spent most of her career working in private radiology practice and brings a wealth of experience to the position of Charge Radiographer. Jenny is responsible for ensuring that images of the best quality are provided by Palmerston North X-ray, and that each patient receives the utmost care and respect.
Advances in technology provide plenty of exciting challenges and, as part of the Sonic Healthcare Group, the Practice has expanded to include hi-technology imaging. We are committed to Continuing Professional Development and provide our Technologists with opportunities to increase their knowledge and skill.
Jenny is married with one son who lives with his wife and family in Dubai. For therapy and relaxation, Jenny gardens, plays occasional golf and walks the dog on the beach. She has a passion for second-hand book stores and can spend hours in them. Her goal is to change occasional golf to regular golf.
